Topics in this course will include linear relations and functions, linear programming, theory of equations, matrices, the circular functions and trigonometry, sequences and series, polar coordinates and graphs of polar equations, limits, the natural logarithm, and conics. This course will prepare the student for a first course in Calculus and will be taught at an accelerated pace with emphasis on challenging problems. A summer assignment is to be completed and submitted on the first day of class.
Qualifying students may take the first semester of this course for St. John’s University credit.
Students pursuing the St. Joseph’s College Child Study Pathway can take this class for college credit.
Prerequisite: Algebra 2 Regents and teacher recommendation.
